Hey guys! A quick note to let you know about a new feature we just added to our Directory we think you’ll love: live article feeds :)

If you go to directory.rockstarfinance.com/feeds you’ll now see every last financial blog post published within our industry over the past 24 hours – updated every hour, on the hour. And it’s fully sortable like our main blog list too!

We’ve been watching it over the past few weeks before officially announcing it, and on average it looks like about 200 articles per work day are published, and about 60 or 70 articles/day on the weekends. So basically, our community puts out over 1,000 fresh new articles on money every single week! Pretty incredible!

Of course, no one has time to read all 1,000 articles a week which is why we do the reading for y’all and feature our favorite 3 here every day on Rockstar Finance. However, now you have another place to look for new blogs whenever you’re bored with ours ;) Just another thing we wanted to build out to make our community more accessible.

Check it out and let us know what you think!

In other project news:

Our Directory is now tracking over 1,000 blogs! It’s truly astonishing how many financial blogs are out there (and new ones starting every week!) but we can never have enough, so keep on starting them, folks!

We’ve given out $7,481 from our Community Fund. This is where we help people pay off their debts, launch their own passion projects, and of course pay it forward with our $20 #GivingCards. Which, btw, we have 5 left from the month if anyone wants to grab one and do some good! More info here.

And lastly, our Forums now have over 950 users :) Talking about everything from paying off debt to investing, saving, growing wealth, starting money meetups, and even finding ways to grow their own blogs (hidden in our private blogger forum as to not annoy the non-bloggers!).

And speaking of growing wealth, check out what one of our members (@Josh) put together calculating all the net worths bloggers share from our Net Worth Tracker (resembling 28% of all bloggers, btw!).

collective net worth bloggersWe’ve saved over $130 MILLION dollars! With an average of about $500,000 per blogger, and a median of about $250,000… Not too shabby. (See the thread here.)

average net worth bloggersNeedless to say, our community is busy. And we hope to continue to bring everyone together here to better improve both our wallets and our lives.

Thanks for being a part of the journey :)

  1. Thanks for bringing this all together, J$.

1,000 articles a week at 3 minutes per article = 50 hours. It’s a full-time job, but if someone wanted to make learning personal finance their job, it’s potentially doable.

    1. Oh, I know – i’m the one scanning them all every day! In fact… this means i can say that I’ve read every financial blog post in the world lately :) give or take some..

Good project – worth having a long look during my next weekend. 3 countries have more than one entry in the country list though. Why?

    UK/United Kingdom
    USA/United States

  3. J$, thank you so much for including my collective net worth numbers! I’m truly honored. Really! It’s awesome! And I just wanted to contribute to the forum in some small way. :D

At the risk of being pedantic, I have to suggest one small correction. That $250,000 value is the median, not the mean. Median and mean are calculated differently, and result in different values ;-)

Thank you again! I’m totally stoked!

  4. It’s such a rush to be a part of this awesome PF community! I’m continuously impressed by the way Rockstar Finance gives back to the community…a real blessing to be a part of.
And FinCon 17 blew my mind…so happy to have met such great people and to shake J Money’s hand. Lol ;)
