Hey guys! Another week, another giveaway :) I started running out of cool stuff from my house to give out (the downside of being more minimalist!), but a few notes on Facebook and our new money forums, and I’m now stocked back up again and ready to start divvying them all out.

So yay for the internet! And for friends!

This week we start with a nice pile of Amazon cash, courtesy of ESI over at ESIMoney.com – one of my favorite newer’ish blogs. He just came out with a new ebook on financial independence, so on top of being able to win $25 today, you’re also welcome to grab a copy of his book – for free!

Here’s more info on it:

3 steps financial independence

My new ebook, “The Three Steps to Financial Independence”, details the few essential steps anyone needs to take to become financially independent. When I say “anyone”, I mean anyone. Any person who applies these principles consistently over time will become wealthier. He will also achieve financial independence well before most others.

I haven’t read it yet, but I’m going to guess the three steps have to do with “ESI” – Earning, Saving, and Investing :) Download it here and then let me know if I’m correct, haha…

As for the $25 Amazon Card…

Tell us what you’ve been eyeballing on Amazon lately, and then drop the link to it below so we can all check it out :) I’m personally debating between the Stache Bomb tin of mustache wax or the more expensive (and more clever) CanYouHandlebar wax. Although if my wife follows through with her threat of shaving it off in the middle of the night, I guess it doesn’t really matter, huh?

What would you buy with this $25??

UPDATE: We used Random.org to select the winner, and that lucky person is…. Libby! Congrats, girl! We hope you enjoy your book on bread making! :)

Giveaway ends next Tuesday at midnight. Links above to Amazon are affiliate links.

I’ve been debating getting this “smart” herb grower for ages – I don’t NEEED it, but I want it! Imagine having fresh herbs on your counter all the time. https://www.amazon.com/Click-Grow-Indoor-Garden-Cartridges/dp/B00ZFXFXZ4

    1. steveo says:

I bought this for my SO at xmas. It is really neat and easy to use. The only drawback is that it only came with basil, so I hope you enjoy pesto!

      haha – awesome.

  5. BryanRoxx says:

I’d get a nice tin of Nutramigen A Hypoallergenic baby formula, and then I’d still have a cool $2.16 left over! https://www.amazon.ca/Nutramigen-Baby-Formula-Powder-454g/dp/B00DOPYTAA/

    1. J. Money says:

    1. J. Money says:

I was just watching his Netflix documentary on his conferences – pretty cool guy! (but WOW does he curse??)

  7. I’ve been looking at various “wake up softly” type alarm clocks since I’m trying to keep my iPhone out of my room, but I tried a basic alarm clock and the thought of waking up to that harsh buzzer actually made me sleep worse. :( https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Wake-Up-Sunrise-Simulation-HF3500/dp/B00F0W1RIW/ref=s9_simh_gw_g121_i1_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=JMD95QJY2GHD5PSQ0FH3&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2a4fafb6-9fdc-425a-aee8-c82daa7b18ed&pf_rd_i=desktop

    1. Cassie says:

I was looking at that clock with my husband last night!

  8. Robin says:

I’ve been looking at these for a long time https://www.amazon.com/Click-Grow-Indoor-Garden-Cartridges/dp/B00ZFXFXZ4?th=1 or a new cookbook.

  9. Jen M. says:

The big ticket item I’ve been eyeing on Amazon is a new vacuum. Our current one is bulky, corded and cost $50 10 years ago. I really want a Dyson, and if we get the dog we’ve been talking about, we’re going to get one to make vacuuming up dog hair easier.

In the short term, I’m also looking at a new pair of headphones for work. The plastic on current headphones is currently flaking off, so I’ll randomly have black plastic stuck to my ear and not realize it, but they still work, so I’m having trouble biting the bullet!

  10. Angela Lord says:

My coworker yearns for the Captain America Wafflemaker, and how delightful would it be to surprise her with that gift?!

  11. Jennifer Mensah says:

I would start with this book: Grow all you can eat in three square feet. I need to get my gardening on!

Then I would follow up with this Disney CD. I used to listen to it as a kid and hearing my niece sing these songs (at two) would just be so great!

  12. Carol Shipley says:

I’ve been looking at the Living World deluxe habitat https://www.amazon.com/Living-World-Deluxe-Habitat-X-Large/dp/B007BNE1YA/ref=sr_1_4?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1488380169&sr=1-4&keywords=rabbit+cage

My husband’s relative had a family emergency and we suddenly inherited two unexpected bunnies :-) and their cage is pretty small, hoping to be able to afford a bigger cage for them without causing a problem with the budget. That $25.00 would help a lot!

  13. I want to buy some “I quit sugar for life” book and some raw cacao to fight my chocolate addiction :)

  14. Hey, great call with that mustache wax. ;)
As far as what I’ve been eyeing on Amazon, I’m in the market for my own modem. I realized Spectrum (aka Speculum) charges us $10 a month to rent a modem from them. If we supply our own modem we save $10 a month.

Here’s the cheapo little modem I have my eye on:

  15. Brian says:

    These sweet bluetooth headphones! http://a.co/1TILLCn

  16. Amanda Heather says:

I’ve been eyeing this French press so I can ditch the electric drip coffee maker taking up space on the counter.

    1. J. Money says:

Let’s go w/ the latter, haha..

  17. Danielle says:

I recently came across this site and am loving it! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. I decided to learn to weave as a hobby so I am currently eyeing this weaving projects book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1632504316/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

    1. J. Money says:

Oh good! I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far!

  18. Cassie says:

I’d buy this old school safety razor that has been sitting in my cart for probably two or three months now. I’m sick and tired of paying for overpriced disposables, so I’m planning on picking this up as soon as I run out of them.

    1. J. Money says:

      that’s kinda bad ass looking!

  19. Carolyn says:

I would love to get a food processor – one more thing I could use to encourage myself to cook more at home! https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-FP1600B-8-Cup-Processor/dp/B0038KPRG6/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1488388286&sr=1-4&keywords=food+processors+on+sale

  20. steveo says:

I have had this on my wishlist for months. One day I am going to pull the trigger.

    1. I have this on a LONG hold at the library too! :D

  21. Stephonee says:

Sipping chocolate! I had some in Italy 14 years ago, and I’ve been trying to find out how to make it as awesomely as that delicious chocolate sludge ever since! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F7NIQQ0/

(Though, there’s a chance that I’d be practical and just end up buying something to replace my slow cooker that’s breaking. Like the exact same slow cooker. Or one of those fancy new-fangled Instant Pots. That’s a pressure cooker. Not what you may think when you read “Instant Pot.” What you are thinking of can only be purchased in Colorado or DC. :P )

    1. J. Money says:

did not see that one coming!

  22. Laira says:

I’ve been eyeing this water purifier attachment for my sink to go with hydroflask water bottle I got for Christmas and have since become addicted to.

  23. Mercedes says:

My boyfriend and I want to start camping this year as an inexpensive way to get away, but not break the bank. I would love to get a camp stove like this: https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-2000020943NP-Classic-Propane-Stove/dp/B00005OU9D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488398208&sr=8-1&keywords=coleman+campstove to make our meals while camping!

  24. Pigeon Princess says:

My insurance is terrible, so it takes forever to get into my dentist … spending money on a temp tooth would keep me smiling! https://www.amazon.com/Temporary-repair-dental-missing-Triple/dp/B00NZKR00A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1488398982&sr=8-2&keywords=dental+tooth+fake

    1. J. Money says:

oh damn, i’m sorry to hear :(

  25. A bra. Yup, there I said it. A good one is not cheap and I haven’t been able to get my frugal mind to pull the trigger on this one yet.

  26. Bela says:

I’ve been looking at the Metro ED500 DataVac 500-Watt 120 volt 0.75-HP Electric Blower Duster (http://amzn.to/2ldRQHV), which I would first use on my all-in-one computer. Have been using a hand vacuum, but it sucks when apparently blowing is more effective, lol.

  27. David says:

Our trusty rice cooker bit the dust yesterday after many years of service, so I’d get this to replace it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OFB9SYY/?tag=thesweethome-20&linkCode=xm2&ascsubtag=SH1637

  28. linda albarran says:

    Kettlebells and health related items

  29. Alexandra says:

I buy things on Amazon each month for the Seattle Humane Society from their wishlist. My dog doesn’t like to play with toys, so I use the money I would have spent on a new toy to buy something for a furry friend in need. I’m looking at this “Wooly Snuffle Mat” for March:

  30. Ellie Falls says:

I’ve been looking at getting feeding toys for my young dog. He’s distroyed so many of my things and I’ve been testing ways to keep him busy while I’m at work (earning money to replace everything he ate.)
Here’s one that would be covered by the GF: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EB4IVU2/ref=aw_wl_vv_dp_1_1?colid=10A4YH6O85O96&coliid=I2AOBZJXDGJUJN&vs=1

    1. J. Money says:

Nice! I hope you do it! We’ve been cable free for 8 months now and loooooving it. Picked up a simple bunny ears antenna from Target that works great too so we can still watch some stuff outside netflix :) like live sports!

  33. cwiggam says:

I have been thinking about grabbing the Game of Thrones books to read after seeing the show so I would put it towards them. https://www.amazon.com/Thrones-Clash-Kings-Swords-Dragons/dp/0345535529/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488478641&sr=8-1&keywords=game+of+thrones+books

  34. Sally Scheuermann says:

I’m moving on Saturday and getting a mattress for my new apartment, so I’ve been eyeing the Zinus bedframes on Amazon. A $25 gc would certainly help! :)

  35. K. S. says:

Oh Crap! We need to buy a $h*t receptacle for our upcoming potty training adventure. With $25, I would buy 2 of these bad boys (one for the main floor and one “traveler” for either upstairs or the car!)

    Let the poop wars begin…

    1. J. Money says:

      that’s cute :)

  36. Guys, I heard this author interviewed recently, and I feel like we should all be reading his new book related to future economic conditions in America. So, that’s what I would buy. I hope the winner will consider it too! The Complacent Class: The Self-Defeating Quest for the American Dream –https://www.amazon.com/dp/1250108691/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_aRFUybRSF3562

  38. J says:

I want so little. I put in for a raffle for a grill today that I’d give to a friend or family member if I won. A $25 amazon gift card would get re-gifted to a friend who is finding her self (literally ) and I’m sure could use it for beauty products or clothing.

    1. J. Money says:

      You’re a beautiful person, J :)

  39. Lisa Brown says:

I have been considering: Retinol Cream Moisturizer for Face and Eyes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ES349CY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3CPWJ71DC0IIR&coliid=I1GPE10RJX5999

  41. Aspiring PAW says:

Getting close to pulling the trigger on Cal Newport’s book “Deep Work”. Life is already crazy and with a baby due in 8-10 weeks my time to accomplish my job related work will become even tighter. Hoping the book will help me use my time more effectively and maximize the quality of my work during the time I set aside to do so. As always, love this community!

It’s a great book! Here’s our review on it if you’re interested :)

      Def pick it up!
