Got a fun combo for y'all today! We're giving away my friend Jason's financial/life book, "You Only Live Once", along with a nice bamboo bracelet he created to accompany it. (You might remember Jason from his cross-country "financial wellness" road trips we've featured here before.) I asked him about the backstory on the bracelet, and here's what he said:

The bracelet is made of various stones and bamboo. I call these mybuhay which is a play on the filipino word mabuhay which means "live" and also used to greet people. Buhay means "life" and therefore mybuhay translates to "Live My Life." The 7 stones represent my philosophy of balancing 7 areas of our lives. The bracelet is a reminder that we must devote as much time to each of them to achieve wellness: Financial, Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Emotional, Sexual and Social.

Pretty cool, right? I would totally rock that! Items with meaning behind them are so much more enjoyable... by Jason Vitug:

You may think more money is the key to living the life of your dreams, but in reality, most people are unable to live the lives they want because they lack a clear vision for their life and are setting financial goals that do not align with what they truly value. If you want to rediscover your passions and define your purpose, "You Only Live Once" is your complete guide to understanding your money mindset and teaching you to manage money with a purpose—to live your dream lifestyle in this lifetime.

Want them?

Tell us which of Jason's 7 areas of wellness you're needing the most help in, along with which you're currently excelling at, and we'll select a winner by this time next week (Wednesday morning). Here are the 7 areas again: Financial, Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Emotional, Sexual and Social. I would say I'm personally doing pretty well in the Financial and Emotional areas of life, but not so much in the Physical and Mental ones. I haven't been to a gym in years, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to work less and get a clearer mind! Your turn! Extra credit if you have the courage to list Sexual on either side ;) UPDATE: Thank you for sharing with us, everyone! The winner of the book and bracelet, as chosen randomly this week, is Kevin Oschefski. Hope you enjoy them, man :) ***** To see who won last week’s giveaway, click here.
